Even though the FLEDA System will work on a GT 1000, it is my opinion that the GT's stock tail-light and fender system works and looks great. Also the current version of the FLEDA System will stick out beyond the edge of the rear of the seat cushion. If there is enough interest in a FLEDA System for the GT 1000 I will design a FLEDA specifically for this bike.

The FLEDA System replaces the entire stock tail-light and rear fender assembly on Ducati Sport Classic Motorcycles. It should be noted that any protection from “road spray” afforded by the stock tail-light and rear fender assembly will be lost with the FLEDA System.

The turn signal and tail/brake light functions are 3 separate arrays. Each array is comprised of a 40 LED Flexible LED Array w/1MM spacing. Two of the arrays have amber LEDs and one has red LEDs.

Additionally, we have designed and fabricated two different license plate brackets for the Sport 1000 & Paul Smart. One design places the license plate at the far rear of the bike and connects to the Flexible LED Array assembly. The other design places the license plate more forward under the seat and hangs slightly above and in front of the battery. In both cases the license plate has plenty of clearance with respect to the rear tire and there will not be any issues with the rear tire contacting the license plate. Both these license plate assemblies come with a very nice black powder coated frame with LED illuminator.

 OPTIONAL RUNNING LIGHT FEATURE: The FLEDA System allows you to configure your rear turn-signals as running and parking lights. This option is “switch selectable”. Calculations suggest that with stock lighting that you might be able to operate in “park” mode for 2 or 3 hours before you would start to draw down the battery. With the FLEDA System with all LEDs operating (running lights) you should be able to be in “park” mode for about 10 hours. PAK BIKES is working on a design to replace the front incandescent light with an equivalent LED setup. This should extend the permissible operating time in “park” mode to about 20 hours.

Both the FLEDA and license plate brackets with illuminated frames are "plug&play" and only take minutes to install.
The "under-seat" version does require drilling two small holes in the plastic sub-frame pan.  Drilling template included.

All components are of the highest quality and all fasteners are stainless steel.
